Now that the dust has settled on the release of XSitePro - Version 2.0 it’s time to take a serious look at this program.
Defining the target market for this product is a difficult task. The reason being, it has very broad appeal to a very wide range of people.
It’s aimed at anyone that cannot spell HTML but can write and click their mouse buttons. Which is mainly this program requires you to do. It totally removes the need to know anything about “How a website works” and “How to create a website”.
Now I am a devoted “do it myselfer” and I lovingly create all my websites by hand coding in a text editor (I like the control and have never liked what the other web editing programs produce). I write every line of CSS, HTML and PHP. Which is a nice skill to have BUT for the majority of people, they just don’t have the time nor the inkling to take that path. All the vast majority of people want to do is create their websites, but that has never been a simple task to accomplish.
Since having bought XSitePro and having a very limited play with it (at this stage) I have to say, that the ease in which you can create pages, setup your links is a big plus. But the main thing I enjoy most is that it gives the user a very pleasant environment to work in.
I’m just creating a page or two for a new website I’ve been putting off for ages due to my workload. So I’m doing it in XSitePro.
I’ve setup the project, created the website folder, Chosen a template, picked my colors for the menu and now I can, at my leisure - add content to it. But that is where most Website Building Programs stop.
XSitePro has the ability - with a click of a moust - to start adding Google Adsense to pages, to add Amazon products and you can keep a list of all your affiliate program links.
There is also a choice of sales page template, squeeze page templates (with easy installation of the popular Autoresponders) and of course a large selection of webpage templates. So there is enough there to get anyone up and running with a website.
And even for those who are very fussy on the HTML code that is produced, XSitePro isn’t too bad. But who really cares about those things, the idea is to get a website up and running and being able to look after it.
No Need to worry about the “Techy” stuff.
You don’t need to worry about the techy stuff, you just have to worry about the words and images you are going to put on your website and with XSitePro that’s a breeze.
Another feature I rather like is it’s ability to keep the files on your server upto date and remove those that you are no longer using.
It is - Write - click - upload all within it’s very well thought out and easy to use, user interface!
The cost?
At the present, during its promotional release it costs $197 USD. Which considering the power it gives you, especially over the Free Web editoris like NVU (which you still need to know what you are doing) is well worth the money. It’s all about creating and updating your websites and you can’t really put a price on that. With all the features it has over programs like Dream Weaver which are priced too high for most users, it’s in a good price range.
For Affiliates.
They do have an affiliate program associated with XSitePro. Now you Do Not have to buy the program to become an affiliate, but I recommend that you do to give it a honest review.
The current affiliate commission is about $45USD at it’s current sale price of $197USD. I’m not sure on when they are going to increase the price, but they are throwing around a price of $297USD which may or may not happen.
Conclusion
There are a lot of people wanting to get into creating their own websites but they are limited in both time and resources to learn HTML , FTP etc, so this product is just the ticket for those would be - web masters - to get into the website building side of their business.
As I’ve mentioned, I write all my code from scratch, but I am loving this program for those sites I just want to whip up easily.
If you are a web designer, this is definitely something you could throw at your customer to allow them to keep their sites updated without going through a huge learning curve like with some of the CMS systems out there. Design their template, get them to purchase XSitePro and everyone is happy.
